Terriers return to action tonight hosting Maine at Agganis Arena with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m. The teams split a series in Orono in November when the Black Bears won the first game, 5-2, but were shut out the next night by BU, 7-0.
Maine’s offense is led by Tim Doherty, Hockey East’s Rookie of the Month for December, and sophomore Mitchell Fossier with 15 points each. Freshman Eduards Tralmaks and sophomore Patrick Holway each have 14 points.
Four Terriers—Dante Fabbro, Patrick Harper, Brady Tkachuk and Jake Oettinger—who played in yesterday’s medal games at the World Junior Champions—will be back in Boston today. So will Maine goalie Jeremy Swayman, whose .927 save percentage is second best in Hockey East. Check back later for line-up information.

Sophomore Dante Fabbro returns from the WJCs with a gold medal as Canada defeated Sweden 3-1 in the tournament final in Buffalo. He joins Adrian Aucoin (1993) as the only Terriers to win gold for Canada and is the only Terrier to win both gold and silver (2017) at the WJCs.

Kieffer Bellows scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Team USA’s 9-3 win against the Czech Republic in the bronze medal game. The two scores gave Bellows nine for the tournament, a new record for an American in one tournament, one more than Jeremey Roenick and two more than former Terriers Chris Bourque and Scott Young.
Jake Oettinger made his second start of the tournament and turned aside 28 shots in 57 minutes before being relieved by Swayman. The 6’4” sophomore netminder kept the Czechs off the scoreboard in the first two periods as Team USA built an insurmountable lead. Oettinger had also been in net for the 4-3 shoot-out win over Canada in the outdoor game on Dec. 29.
Brady Tkachuk, with one assist yesterday, finished the tournament with nine points (3G,6A), while Patrick Harper contributed a goal and an assist, finishing with four points (2G,2A).
