Terriers play their final exhibition tune-up tonight, hosting the NTDP U18s for the third consecutive season. Two years ago, BU defeated a U18 squad featuring Jordan Greenway and Charlie McAvoy, 6-5; last year, the visitors skated away with a 7-4 win. Tonight, four of the architects of that U18 win—freshmen Clayton Keller, Chad Krys, Kieffer Bellows and Jake Oettinger—will be in Scarlet.
With game time at Agganis Arena set for 7 p.m. ET, the contest is the first of 15 free, high-definition live-streams of BU home games. The TerrierTV live streams, via Campus Insiders, are available online worldwide.
BU’s top returning scorers are three sophomores: assistant captain Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson (30 points), Greenway (26) and McAvoy (25).
The U18 line-up features three 2017 BU recruits: forwards Logan Cockerill and Brady Tkachuk, and defenseman David Farrance. (See “The Next Ones.”). BU has seven NTDP alums on the roster: Olsson, Greenway, McAvoy, Bellows, Keller, Krys and Oettinger..
