The Elis, who won the NCAA title two seasons ago, lost to Harvard in a hard-fought ECAC quarterfinal round series, 2 games to 1. Yale needed both BU and Harvard to win their respective conference tournaments in order to make it into the national tournament and that’s exactly what happened. Yale goalie Alex Lyon has a goals against average of 1.58 - tops in Division 1.
