Matt Grzelcyk scored his third goal in the Bruins’s 6-3 loss to Tampa Bay. Charlie McAvoy recorded his 21st assist.
Alex Chiasson’s 22nd goal was the game-winner in Edmonton’s 3-1 win against Calgary. Chiasson also added an assist, finishing the season with career highs in goals (22) and points (38).

Jack Eichel assisted on a pair of goals in the Sabres’ 7-1 rout of Detroit. Eichel completed his fourth NHL season with career highs in goals (28) and points (82).

Looking ahead
For the third time in four games, 2022 recruit Devin Kaplan scored two goals, but the North Jersey Avalanche lost to the St. Louis Blues, 5-2, in the quarterfinals of USA Hockey Tier 1 16U Nationals. 2021 recruit Jeremy Wilmer assisted on both tallies and finished a tournament-leading 11 points (2G, 9A). Kaplan’s six goals also are tops in the tournament.
2019 recruit Liam Gorman scored a power-play goal and 2020 Liam Connors recorded an assist for the Boston Junior Eagles who were eliminated by Northwood Prep, 6-3, in the Tier 1, 18U quarterfinals. Gorman was a sixth-round pick of Pittsburgh in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. In the 14U Division, Honeybaked, with 2022 recruit Lane Hutson, was eliminated by Pittsburgh in the quarterfinals.
In Saturday’s OHL Priority Draft, 2021 recruit Danny Zhilkin was select in the first round by Guelph (14th overall) and reports indicate he’ll play in the OHL. Roman Schmidt, who was selected in the second round by Kitchener, has indicated he’ll play for the NTDP U17s next season. Two other BU 2021 commits, Tyler Boucher and Wilmer, were selected by Ottawa in later rounds. Both will join Schmidt on the NTDP U17s next season.
